Seek. Receive. Rejoice.

This morning, I received this message as I sat on my porch, snuggled in my softest blanket, the crisp morning air stinging my skin, the wind rustling in the trees, and the sun peeking up over the mountains.

It has been a month since I’ve been able to witness this glorious vision.

The sun and the moon have been red for weeks. The skies have been dark from smoke. Idaho seems to be surrounded by fires.

And I have missed the blue skies.

I have missed my morning ritual of chanting while the sun makes his debut and rises in magical light above the mountains.

And yet, each morning I have still come outside to pray. To hear the roosters call in the new day. To listen to my neighbor’s horses gallop on the hard dirt, joyful that the sun has risen.

The earth celebrates. The animals sing songs. The cows join in a chorus of moos. The birds sing and dive through the trees.

And I get to be a witness of this celebration each morning.

I feel that this is a natural response. Each animal can feel the freshness of the new day. But somewhere, at some point, that natural instinct was shut down for most humans.

Instead, we rise because an alarm goes off on our phones. We push the snooze button to pretend that this new day has not arrived. We moan and grumble as we peel ourselves from our coziest place of slumber and, with heavy feet, begin this new day.

I know this is not the case for everyone. But it is for most.

Today, as I prayed for guidance on this message, the sun seemed to be showing me the way. And when I practiced my altar tool, I was shown a beautiful vision that matched the energy of the sun.

If you haven’t me share my altar tool before, it is my favorite way to get clear on the one most important action for that day.

I PHYSICALLY CUP MY HANDS AND OPEN MY PALMS TO THE HEAVENS. I ASK GOD THAT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR THAT DAY BE GIVEN TO ME. AND THEN I QUIET MY MIND AND LISTEN.

Sometimes I have an idea or word pop into my head. But, for the most part, if I can truly quiet my mind, I am shown an image or a visual.

It never makes sense when I first see it. I always ask that God interpret the image for me.

And today, as I opened my palms and asked for guidance, an image of something wrapped in cloth was shown to me. I visualized the cloth being unwrapped and there, in the center, was a golden key. It was as bright as the sun—full of light and rich color.

I had no idea what this represented. I have never seen this image before. So I asked for understanding of what this symbolized.

I saw myself touch the key and I felt so much joy. I saw myself doing what I loved. I felt happy, joyous, excited—I felt good.

But I was still confused about what this key meant for me. And then I heard these words:

“Feel good, Keira. Despite everything going on in the world—seek to feel good. Seek to feel joyful. Be happy. Rejoice in being alive.”

And I knew this message was what I needed to hear. It was a reminder to celebrate life.

EVEN THOUGH THE SKIES HAVE BEEN DARK FOR A WHILE, THE ANIMALS STILL CELEBRATE EACH NEW DAY. THEY SING PRAISES AS THE SUN APPEARS TO BREAK THE DARK OF THE NIGHT.

Life may feel like dark skies right now. And it may feel like a true struggle to rise again each day. But we have this miraculous gift of choice.

No matter what is going on around us—we get to choose how we feel.

We choose joy or suffering. We choose creation or stagnation. We choose our thoughts and our actions. We choose what we digest, not only physically, but also emotionally and spiritually. We choose what we see, what we allow into our ears, and who we spend time with.

This gift allows us to rejoice even if the skies are dark.

In the book Man’s Search for Meaning, Victor Frankl, who was a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps, wrote:

“EVERYTHING CAN BE TAKEN FROM A MAN BUT ONE THING; THE LAST OF HUMAN FREEDOMS. TO CHOOSE ONE’S ATTITUDE IN ANY GIVEN SET OF CIRCUMSTANCES, TO CHOOSE ONE’S OWN WAY.”

This is so important to remember, especially in the world right now.

Remember that this is our deepest gift and freedom: to choose how we feel, no matter what goes on around us.

I believe we can awaken every morning and celebrate the rise of each new day with grateful hearts. No matter the conditions around us, we get to choose if we feel good.

We choose joy. We choose creation. We choose to be present and live.

And, as we choose to feel good, more good is brought to us.

It is a law like the law of gravity. Like attracts like. As you choose to feel happy, more happy moments will roll into your life. As you choose to experience joy, more joy will appear.

It is the same for fear. If we feel fear, more fear appears. If we feel hatred, more hatred appears.

CHOOSE WHAT EMOTION YOU WANT MATCHED. AND AS YOU DO, YOUR LIFE WILL SHIFT. WE HAVE THE FULL CREATIVE ABILITY TO PAINT THE LIFE WE CHOOSE BASED ON WHAT WE CHOOSE TO FEEL.

May this week be a week of joy, of happiness, of morning rituals welcoming the sun and the newness of the day. May today be a day where you remember this brilliant freedom that you have: the freedom to choose your feelings despite what is going on around you.

You are a sovereign being—a being who is connected to the divine. A being who has direct access to the source of all light. You too can open your palms and ask to be guided.

God promises us that if we seek, we will find.

Seek.

Receive.

And rejoice.

xo,

Keira

7 DAYS TO CREATE A

SACRED SPACE

Sacred space can be anywhere you choose. It does not have to be a perfect place, it just needs to be set aside and created to be sacred. I believe that as we carve out the space and time to connect to the Divine, healing and miracles begin to pour down upon us.
